The Wall Street Journal reports that a study released Tuesday by Forrester Research found that 33 percent of adults update Web sites like Twitter and Facebook once a week. Forrester dubbed these people, “conversationalists.” (The study looked at 10,000 people, 18 and older, in 22 countries.) “They’re mostly women,” The Wall Street Journal said of these conversationalists, “and they aren’t only young people — 70 percent of the adults in this category are 30 and older.” The study also found that 70 percent of adults are spectators in social media, which means they’re reading blogs, Facebook updates, and tweets. Only 17 percent of Internet users don’t participate in any social media.
